Saturday
A Whole Saturday at Casino Rama
Saturday is the one full day of the weekend, with no check-in or check-out to plan around. The lodge below lights up the parts of the resort that are open at the hour you pick, any day of the week.

Morning
Upstairs Before Breakfast
The pool is a heated indoor saltwater horizon pool on the third floor, open to hotel and spa guests only. It runs every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The first hour, 7 to 8 a.m., is an adult swim. So is the last one, 9 to 10 p.m. Since the pool is indoors, pack a swimsuit in any season.
On the same floor, the fitness centre sits inside the spa and keeps the same clock, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. A workout and an early swim fit together before breakfast.

Booking the Spa Ahead
The Spa at Rama Resort works every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Booking ahead is recommended, so set it up before the weekend rather than on Saturday morning. Call (705) 238-5933, or book by email. The resort's recent refresh enlarged the spa and the fitness centre. For hours on a holiday weekend, call the resort's call centre at 1-800-832-7529, which answers from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A first lesson
Try a Class First
New to the tables? The resort runs learn-to-play classes for table games. When you arrive on Friday, ask the VIP Services Desk when the next class is, and build Saturday around it.
Texas Hold'em works a little differently. A seat starts with a phone call to the poker call-in line, 705-329-5804, which can be rung at any hour. From that call you have 2 hours to check in at the Poker Brush. Ring when you are ready to head over, not before a long swim.
Afternoon
The Floor After Lunch
The casino floor runs 24 hours a day on all 365 days of the year. Table games run around the clock as well. Which games are dealt at a given moment is confirmed at 705-329-5121.
Among the tables the resort names are Squeeze Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette, 3 Card Poker and Mississippi Stud. Blackjack comes in versions such as Spanish 21 and Free Bet. Caribbean Stud Poker, High Card Flush and Big Raise Stud Poker are on the list too. So are EZ No Commission and Pai Gow Poker. A separate High Limits Room deals Baccarat and higher-limit Blackjack.
Slots share the same floor and take no coins. They print FastCash tickets, cashed at the Cashier's Cage or at kiosks on the floor. Electronic tables at player terminals run Blackjack, Baccarat and double-zero Roulette in auto mode.
The card
Getting a Players Card
The players card, My Club Rewards, costs nothing. Anyone aged 19 or over can get one from the Guest Services desk by showing valid ID. Both slots and table games earn points. The tiers run Rewards, Silver, Gold, Elite and Ultra, with Ultra open by invitation only.
Silver members and above get the casino main entrance valet free. It runs without a break from Friday at 10 a.m. to Monday at 2 a.m. Other guests pay a fee, and hotel guests at Elite and Ultra get the hotel valet free.
Night
Saturday After Dark
Couchiching Court Buffet serves dinner on Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. It sits on the casino floor and admits guests 19 and over. Centre Bar, the sports bar in the middle of the floor, is open until 2 a.m. for guests 19 and over. Hotel and spa guests can end with the adult swim, 9 to 10 p.m.
After that, the floor keeps going all night. Cameras and recording devices of every kind are banned there. There is no dress code anywhere, restaurants included.
